ECTS
Almost all universities based in Europe use ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) of grading, which is a standard for comparing the study attainment and performance of students of higher education across the European Union. In the context of a degree program in Europe:
– 1 academic year = 60 ECTS credits (generally equivalent to 45 credit hours)
– 1 ECTS credit = 25–30 hours of study (depending on the country/institution)
– A typical Bachelor’s program = 180 ECTS credits, completed in 3 years full-time
– A typical Master’s program = 120 ECTS credits, completed in 2 years full-time
– Besides, the school also offers Professional Doctorate to accomplished practitioners of various fields, subject to relevant proof of accomplishment and dissertation / teaching assignments.
ECTS credits are designed to make it easier for students to transfer credits between institutions and countries, promoting mobility and recognition.
STUDENTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM
GNI offers international exchange program facility to our students to study on-campus in Switzerland. The students aspiring to spend one or more semesters in Switzerland would, however, have to pick French language – being the primary spoken language in Geneva, Switzerland.
